Gatlin and Hoffa Joining Clinician Lineup for 2018!

Registration will open soon for the 8th Annual MAXIMUM VELOCITY TRACK AND FIELD ACADEMY. The camp will once again be held on the campus of Centre College in Danville, KY from June 6-9, 2018.

This year we have added two new Olympic medalists to our star-studded lineup of clinicians.

Justin Gatlin
Justin Gatlin will be working with our sprinters this year. Gatlin is one of the most decorated sprinters in US history with 5 Olympic medals, and 10 World Championship medals. He won the gold medal in the 100m in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens where he was also part of the silver medal winning 4 x 100m relay team. That same year he won the bronze medal in the 200m. He picked up his second bronze medal in the 100m at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Gatlin won his second silver medal in the 100m in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

Reese Hoffa
Reese Hoffa will be working with our throwers this year. He has also been very successful on the world stage winning 1 Olympic medal, and 4 World Championship medals. Hoffa is the bronze medalist from the 2012 Olympic Games in London. He won the gold medal at the 2007 World Outdoor Championships. Hoffa also won a gold medal(2006) and two silver medals (2004 & 2008) at the World Indoor Championships.

Gatlin and Hoffa will be joining 7 clinicians who have previously worked with our campers. Sharrieffa Barksdale is back to motivate our campers, and be the liaison to the Olympians. Kenny Harrison will return to work with our long and triple jumpers. Mark Hollis will work with our pole vaulters again this year. Gwen Mikinski will once again work with our high jumpers. Rose Monday will work with our middle distance, distance, and cross country runners. Terrence Trammell will work with our 100m and 110m hurdlers, and Kevin Young will work with our 300m and 400m hurdlers.
